Homicide Investigation in the North Tryon Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 120 block of Atando Ave. in the North Tryon Division.
On Sunday, Nov. 30, at approximately 4:47 a.m., officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Injury call for service in the 120 block of Atando Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered one victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. The individual was transported by MEDIC to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
Nearby, another victim was found who had also sustained gunshot wounds and had crashed their car nearby. This individual was transported by MEDIC to a local hospital with life-threatening-injuries.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to both scenes to conduct an investigation. Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC also assisted.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD's Public Affairs Office.
